As you probably know, the NBA is currently undergoing a lockout after failing to reach a new CBA before the deadline.
Due to this, we are talking games, training camps and the summer circuit being cancelled. I'm surprised they've let it go this far.
Another thing we're going to miss is the continued growth of Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose.
The two have basically catapulted themselves into the elite level and are both just going into their fifth and fourth years, respectively. First, let's take a look at KD.
Durant has arguably taken the most advantage of the lockout. He has been noted for taking part in multiple summer league games. They have given him a new way to reach the community.
And, oh yeah, he has led the league in scoring for two consecutive years.
Now Rose. Entering his fourth year, Rose has already made the all-star team, lead his team to the conference finals, and most notably, won an MVP. At such a young age, we are just waiting to see what he does next.
So with the cancellation of NBA games, we are going to miss watching some of the growth we've been in awe of for the last four to five years.
Who knows what effect this will have on them going into the next season?
They could enter the league full of momentum and excitement or be completely unprepared for the season. Who knows?
The best thing for us to do is wait...and wait...and wait...
