Meet Our Football WAG of the Week?Lara �lvarez

This week may not have been the best for Real Madrid after they lost to Levante in a 1-0 upset, but the on-and-off significant other of a certain Merengue defender is our WAG of the Week.

Like Sylvie van der Vaart and Sara Carbonero (to whom she is often compared) before her, 25-year-old Asturias native Lara Álvarez made her name first as a television personality, working as a sports journalist for Spanish networks La Sexta and Four Sports.

She became the subject of buzz and paparazzi flutters when she began dating Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos back in January.  

According to a report from Spanish entertainment website Vanitatis, the two are back together after breaking up in April, and Spanish magazine Cuore published photos of them getting awfully close at the end of August.

Whether or not this is celebrity gossip or gospel remains to be seen, but between the buzz and the fact that Álvarez is pretty awesome herself makes her our WAG of the Week.
