This season is off to a fast start with all of the 400 yard passers over the first two weeks.
Last season there were 12 times where a quarterback threw for over 400 yards all season. Through two weeks in the 2011 season there has already been six.
The sudden increase in passing has taken the league by storm.
Here are three potential candidates to have 400 yard passing games in week three action.
Tom Brady
Tom Brady is on pace to throw for 7,520 yards this season. Sit back for a moment and think about just how ridiculous that sounds.
Brady threw for 517 yards in week one against the Dolphins. He threw for 423 in week two against a much better defense in San Diego.
In week three the Patriots face the Buffalo Bills.
Usually it's a treat when quarterbacks throw for over 400 yards. I would actually be shocked if Brady doesn't throw for that this week.
Cam Newton
No quarterback has ever thrown for 400 yards in their first three starts in the NFL.
Cam Newton has just one game to go.
In week one he broke Peyton Manning's passing record for a rookie in his first ever start throwing for 422 yards.
The following week he upped the total to 432 yards.
It's obvious that the Panthers are going to throw often. Carolina faces Jacksonville this weekend. I think it's time for Newton to break some more records.
Michael Vick
A few days ago we weren't sure if Michael Vick was even going to start this weekend, now I'm convinced he will throw for 400 yards.
The Giants secondary is a mess. In fact, the whole team is a mess thanks to injuries.
Antrel Rolle said via Twitter that he wants to cover DeSean Jackson one on one.
If he does, then this is a pick sure to come true.
