Real Madrid vs Ajax: Jose Mourinho Will Prove He Hasn't Lost His Squad

Real Madrid has suffered a loss and a draw in their last five matches. For this super team, that is a slump of epic proportions. During this span Jose Mourinho has drawn ire from his players and the team's fans.

Mourinho recently took to publicly pointing the finger at Khedira following Madrid's loss to Levante. And it reportedly did not go over well with some of the players.

Here is a report from goal.com:

"But the decision to point the finger at one of his own players has resulted in a sharp reaction from the first teamers, according to El Pais.

"Sources within the squad told the newspaper that: 'Khedira had obeyed orders' from Mourinho.

"News sources in Catalunya suggest a mass player revolt is in sight as a result of Mourinho's latest outburst, with the players showing the first signs of ire at the coach's media tactics.

"However, Sport has also pointed out that the 'Special One' could seek protection from 'Team Mendes,' the group of players represented by the coach's agent Jorge Mendes. Those include the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe and Ricardo Carvalho."

Madrid seemed to show signs of the discord as they followed up that loss with a lackluster effort in a draw against Racing Santader.

They looked much better in the following match as they trounced Rayo Vallecano 6-2. And I expect they will look even better in this match.

Mourinho is too talented a coach to let this kinds of distractions disrupt the long term health of his team. This guy is the master of pushing buttons. He will find a way to turn this frustration into motivation, and Madrid will bounce back stronger than ever.

Zinedine Zidane also let it be known that Mourinho has the full confidence of the Madrid's front office. He said via the team's official website, and was quoted on zeenews.india.com:

"We are a great team led by the best coach in the world: Jose Mourinho. I believe the players, the club and the fans have complete faith in him.

"Everything surrounding Real Madrid is magnified when we win or lose a game, but the important thing is we know the road we have to follow.

"The team has enough talent and quality to give supporters what they want. We may not be in the top form we wanted at one given point, but we are the best club in the world.

"We have the best coach and the best players. I have no doubt that this coach and these players will make us all very happy,"

It is now clear to everyone that Mourinho is there to stay. The players have little choice but to make it work or face a transfer. Mourinho will ensure that they make it work.
