The Rest of The Atlantic Division

While the New York Rangers definitely improved during the offseason, the rest of the teams in the Atlantic Division did not just sit around and do nothing.

Each club made improvements of their own, which should make for one of the top divisions in the National Hockey League this season.

Here is how the rest of the division looks as we prepare for the start of the 2011-12 regular season:

Pittsburgh Penguins

Even without Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin for chunks of the year last season, the Penguins were still one of the top clubs in the league.

Led by head coach Dan Byslma, the Penguins should have a fully healthy Malkin along with Crosby at some point this season. The dynamic duo gives the Penguins two of the best players in the world when they are healthy and on top of their games.

On offense, the team also has players such as of Tyler Kennedy, Pascal Dupuis, Jordan Staal, James Neal, and hopefully, a Matt Cooke that will play within the rules. On defense, the Penguins are anchored by Kris Letang, Brooks Orpik and Paul Martin along with a few youngsters.
