While he joined in with the rest of the hockey world in condemning an ugly racial incident at an NHL preseason game Thursday night, African-American Avalanche forward Greg Mauldin doesn?t believe racism is pervasive in the game.

?It?s an unfortunate incident. But I think it was an isolated incident. I don?t think that speaks for the entire hockey community. There?s a lot of great hockey fans out there, so one person shouldn?t tarnish that,? Mauldin said.
