A $50K Shot

via KARE, 11-year-old Nick Smith was at the Shattuck St. Mary?s vs. The World celebrity hockey game Thursday night. The event is a fundraiser for the Faribault Hockey Association that features 25 current NHL players.

Smith bought a $10 chance for a redline shot, aiming to put a 3-inch puck through a 3-and-a-half inch slot. The grand prize was $50,000.

KARE?s Janel Klein was at the fundraiser and shot video on her iPhone.

Nick says he?s never entered a contest like this before, but says he?s a ?pretty good? hockey player.
