Early Predictions

from James Gordon of Senators Extra at the Ottawa Citizen, Let?s get to the Forecaster first. On the plus side, the magazine doesn?t have the Senators finishing last in the east. Just second-last (ahead of the woeful Florida Panthers and one back of the Winnipeg Jets). I can?t say I disagree with their top-8?

2. BOS
3. PHI
4. PIT

?but I?d probably order them a little differently. I think I would take the Rangers and Penguins over the Flyers in the Atlantic, while Montreal would drop to eighth. You may disagree. Here are the playoff teams in the west:

4. NSH
