The Los Angeles Lakers are in an interesting spot this offseason. Should they keep their roster intact or trade some of their veterans for younger stars?
Trade rumors surrounding Orlando Magic superstar center Dwight Howard have run rampant for months, but how real are the chances that the NBA's most dominating center joins the Lakers?
Not very good. In fact, the Magic would be foolish to trade him to the Lakers because they can get a much better package in return for their star center from other teams.
I understand that Howard has control of where he goes if he desires to be traded, because if he doesn't want to sign with a certain team, that team won't give up young talent to get him.
But then again, their could be a team that would mortgage the short-term future to acquire Howard for the stretch run and the playoffs.
If the Lakers are unable to get Howard, who else should they trade for to help them remain a threat to win the NBA Finals?
There are a number of players the Lakers could target—let's take a look at who they are.
