Jose Mourinho declared that Cristiano Ronaldo is not a selfish person. The declarations were made in the magazine Marca and published in Goal.com as Real Madrid prepares for its next match against Malaga tomorrow.
Mourinho went on to say that Ronaldo has "certain characteristics" and that his DNA cannot be changed. Mourinho was referring to CR7 and his participation in matches in spite of lack of goals.
Jorge Valdano (former Real Madrid director) and Bernd Schuster (former Real Madrid coach) discussed the concept of Ronaldo and his being selfish in the webpage Ronaldo7.net. Valdano and Schuster agreed with Mourinho that Ronaldo is not a selfish person. Valdano commented about how Ronaldo assisted Callejon in Real Madrid's match against RCD Espanyol.
During the match, Ronaldo received the temptation to strike the ball and score, but he decided to assist Callejon. In the end, Callejon scored for Real Madrid in the match against RCD Espanyol on October 2, 2011.
Schuster also commented that he was content that Ronaldo realized that playing solo lead him to a road with no outlet.
Ronaldo may be behaving while playing for Real Madrid, but he remains selfish and self-centered to a point.
During the UEFA Champions League match between Real Madrid and Dinamo Zagreb, Ronaldo was booed by the Dinamo fans. Ronaldo responded to the behavior of the Dinamo fans by saying that he was rich, handsome and people were envious.
Ronaldo's ego has no limits when it came to his demands for Manchester City. Ronaldo demanded $637 thousand a week and $239 million to sign with Manchester City. Ronaldo also demanded a Bentley (car) and joked about wanting "a naked woman" on top of the money.
The conclusion is that Ronaldo (it can be imagined) must have his good and bad days like all human beings. It remains to be seen in the remaining 2011-2012 La Liga and UEFA Champions League season if Ronaldo has or has not matured.
