Entering the third edition of the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez saga, one of the main area's Pacquiao needs to worry about is Marquez's exceptional counter punching.
As demonstrated in Marquez's 2006 fight against Jimrez Jaca, Marquez showed proof that he can knock his opponent out on powerful, pinpoint accurate punches.
As Jaca threw a combination Marquez dodged his attack and gave a quick combo that included two powerful left hooks, sending Jaca straight to the canvas and knocking him out; though he was sitting up the entire 10-count.
In their two previous fights, Marquez has given Pacquiao trouble with his counter punching, and if Marquez is able to get a solid clean combo off on a counter-punching attack, the results of the rubber match could fall in Marquez's favor with a KO victory.
Pacquiao is looking to get a decisive victory and settle the controversy, which has followed the past two fights after going to questionable decisions, once and for all.
With Pacquiao saying he wants to knock Marquez out this time around, there should be more than enough opportunities to use his defensive skills to land a KO combo, and hand Pac Man his first loss in the ring in six years.
Note: the knockout comes at the 7:07 mark of the video clip.
