Michigan Basketball: Wolverines Will Be a Dangerous Team in Big Ten Tournament

Michigan Basketball Surprises Michigan State Again for Series Sweep, Likely Headed to the NCAA Tournament.

The Michigan Wolverines were on the cusp of making the NCAA Tournament entering Saturday's matchup at Michigan State.

After being on the outside looking in, the Wolverines (19-12, 9-9 Big Ten) could find themselves on the inside looking out.

And look out.

The Wolverines are on fire lately, their 70-63 victory over the Spartans on Saturday ending their regular season with eight wins in their last 11 games, including two against their in-state rivals.

Tim Hardaway Jr. scored all 20 of his points in the second half, going 6-for-13 with two 3-pointers.

Forward Jordan Morgan chipped in with 10 points and 6 rebounds, but the big difference in the game was the Spartans' apparent inability to make any shots.

Forward Draymond Green finished 3-for-14 shooting and guard Durrell Summers finished 4-for-15.

Even the Spartans' "star" of the day, guard Kalin Lucas, finished with 25 points but went 7-for-19.

The Wolverines have flipped the table on the Spartans.

The Spartans, in the national championship discussion before the season, now find themselves on the cusp of possibly being left out of the NCAA Tournament altogether, and the Wolverines storming in.

If the Wolverines make it, it's not only going to be a great story for their school, they are going to be dangerous given their recent explosion.
