After watching the first two, oops I mean three, rounds; one thing is very evident. The Big East Ain't What They Were Supposed to Be. It was ridiculous to see how they flopped. I mean Florida State kicks Notre Dame without even breaking a sweat!! I have to admit Charles Barkley called that one.
The two Big East teams left got there by beating a Big East foe The annual Pittsburgh and Villanova fade seems evident. But Louisville and the others are just crazy. For all of the talk about SEC not being as good this year, but they match the (L)East's success. The ACC has three teams left and oh yeah the Big 10, or 12 I don't know, has as many as you guys.
So for next year I propose a few changes. First, the selection committee should be comprised of basketball people (yes that is Jay Bilas idea). Second, if your school is currently being investigated by NCAA then you are kicked off. Third, throw the Strength of Schedule out the window. Four, don't fall for the myth of the East any more.
I don't care if you have 16 teams, you can have no more than 10 reach the Tournament. One conference having 16 percent of the teams in the tournament is ridiculous.
P.S. I had Notre Dame winning in my bracket, so I'm even more aggravated.
