Arnold Palmer Invitational Shows Tiger Woods Climbing Back Up Ranks
Tiger Woods will be going another day without a win. That being said, he continues to get back on the winning path. After a great second round in between less than impressive first and third rounds, he is finishing the Arnold Palmer Invitational on a high note.
Through 15 holes, Woods is at -2 for the day and at -3 overall, which makes him tied for 14th. While he continues to improve, it's not likely that he will stay in the top 15, mainly because his day is almost over and many around him are just starting. Phil Mickelson, also at -3 overall, has only played eight holes thus far.
More to the point, is this another disappointment for Tiger Woods, or is he finally starting to turn the corner? Unfortunately, the fact that he only had good outings on two of the four days says he's still struggling to remain the elite form we remember that he has.
Having said that, a late charge is always nice to see. Even though Woods knows he's out of it, he is able to perform well at times, and if he can get a streak going, then he will start winning again.
He will not win a slew of majors and titles without a challenge again though; if he wants a win, he's going to have to work hard and get lucky in each tournament, just like everyone else.
