Miami Heat Find Themselves Ridiculed by Yet Another Person, This Time a Well-Known Lakers Coach

It must be hard for Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson, being the competitor that he is, to bite his tongue sometimes when asked about other struggling teams.

I mean, for once this season the media isn't blasting the Lakers.

While the Lakers have stormed out of the All-Star break this year, the Miami Heat have taken the opposite route, losers of four straight and five of seven since the break.

Jackson was repeatedly asked about Heat players crying after their 87-86 loss on Sunday to the Chicago Bulls.

He finally couldn't hold back on Tuesday.

Via ESPN:

"This is the NBA: No Boys Allowed," Jackson said. "Big boys don't cry. But, if you're going to do it, do it in the toilet where no one can see."

Now, for the record, I feel that the criticism of the Heat crying in March has been a bit too much, but, c'mon, this is one of Jackson's best quotes ever, probably the best quote in the NBA this year.

I mean, the first two lines were hilarious enough, but then he throws in the "toilet" statement. That's going far beyond ridiculous.

This could be Jackson's way of taking a shot at the Heat while he's still on top, expected to retire after the season.

If so, this quote is like Michael Jordan's last shot with the Chicago Bulls.

A game-winner.
