New York Giants: 5 Free Agents the Giants Should Look at

Thus far, Giants fans have witnessed an alarming offseason to say the least.

Shortly after the players and the owners signed off on a new collective bargaining agreement, Giants general manager Jerry Reese admittedly stated that their priorities lay within re-signing Ahmad Bradshaw, Kevin Boss, and Steve Smith.

Furthermore, the Giants also needed to address the offensive line and an already injury plagued defense.

Well, now here the Giants are today, minus record setting wide receiver Steve Smith who surprisingly walked away to join in-division nemesis, the "Dream Team" Philadelphia Eagles.

And you know your organization is in trouble when your starting tight end who played a vital role in your team's recent Super Bowl success, opts to leave you for the Oakland Raiders of all teams.

The big blue whiffed on Plaxico Burress whom the New York Jets plain and simply offered more money, and now have a distraught All-World defensive end in Osi Umenyiora who is unhappy and wants out.

Umenyiora never got the restructured deal he sought out and will now be "stuck" in New York unless he pulls a Carson Palmer since the Giants are unwilling to deal him.

First round draft pick Prince Amukamara will be out for at least two months after suffering a foot injury, and Bruce Johnson is already out for the season with an injured Achilles.

So it is clear that Jerry Reese is on the clock needing to fill some holes in the secondary, and I must also add that Keith Bulluck is not getting any younger at the linebacker position.

So who is still out there on the free agency market you ask? Look no further as I introduce you to five free agents the New York Giants need to take a good sharp look at.
