The IWC is the most harsh group of fans in the world, period. WWE must think of us like the world's most annoying backseat drivers, because we all think that we can do their job about 100 times better than them. In reality, though, that may not be true but of course that doesn't stop us from criticizing John Cena at every chance we get, screaming at the TV for years about how Christian wasn't in the main event (that's changing now), or how Stone Cold is the best of all time and everybody else's argument is invalid (and that pretty much answers all the comments from my last article.)
Over the past few weeks the big argument has been about Snooki and her role at WrestleMania 27. Most fans are angry that Snooki took a spot on the WrestleMania card from another diva, but going into WrestleMania, all fans did not take Snooki seriously as a wrestler.
But here we are, a week and a half removed from WrestleMania, and a week and a half removed from her WrestleMania match, do we (the IWC) take Snooki seriously as a wrestler now?
While Snooki did slightly impress at WrestleMania with her flashy flip move, that isn't saying much when most fans didn't expect anything at all out of her.
At the WrestleMania Press Conference Snooki did claim that she would accept an offer to become a full-time Diva if she was offered the spot, but if Vince McMahon actually did offer her a spot and she did accept the offer, would anyone take her seriously?
She's about the height of Hornswoggle and as orange as Michael Cole's singlet, so they can always put her in white suspenders and give her an oompa loompa gimmick. But seriously, would she ever get any respect?
Kelly Kelly used to be a terrible wrestler, but now that she is being trained, she is getting much better every week, and fans are seeing the difference. That's to say that Snooki, while she would start at the very bottom, she could potentially get better after Bill DeMott whips her into shape.
But being good in the ring doesn't mean the IWC will take her seriously. Chances are, the IWC will never, ever take Snooki seriously as a wrestler.
Luckily a full-time WWE career is probably not really on Snooki's agenda and her claim about joining full-time most likely has no basis in reality.
