2011 NFL Draft: Mark Ingram Falls to Bottom of First Round, Goes to NE Patriots

Many mock draft gurus have been projecting Mark Ingram to land in Miami with the Dolphins for much of the offseason; however, reports regarding Ingram's knee not being healed have caused his stock to slip.

The Patriots benefit from Ingram's free-fall as they acquire the top running back in the draft to pair with Danny Woodhead and BenJarvus Green-Ellis.

Ingram is the consensus No. 1 running back in the class and should be an elite RB in the NFL.  He does not have the breakaway speed of some runners, but he is very explosive at the line and hits the hole quickly.

He has the burst and the strength that translates very well to the NFL game, and there is no doubt he will become a huge weapon for the Patriots offense.
