It wasn't a Good Friday for the Texas Longhorn Basketball program.
Jordan Hamilton, Tristan Thompson, and Corey Joseph all announced today that they would enter the NBA Draft.
Each of these three players, following their departure from the NCAA Tournament, had stated that it was their intention to return to campus for next season.
Sophomore forward Hamilton has decided to sign with an agent, while freshmen Thompson and Joseph have not made that decision yet, and have until May 8 to withdraw their names.
This announcement drastically changes the outlook for Rick Barnes and UT's 2011-12 season.
If all three players stay in the Draft, the Longhorns will be losing 42 points and 19 rebounds per game, on top of what they are already losing with departing seniors Gary Johnson (11.5 ppg/6.8 rpg) and Dogus Balbay (4.1 ppg/2.7 rpg).
Even though Barnes has a Top Five recruiting class coming in the fall, the devastating loss of talent and experience will be hard to replace.
