Senators A Mess

The Senators have not quit on Clouston, just as the workaholic coach has not for a second stopped trying to figure out how to stop this team?s slide toward a spot down below alongside the Devils themselves. GM Bryan Murray has not quit trying to make a deal, either. If anyone in the organization can be accused of quitting, it could be owner Eugene Melnyk. If he hasn?t quit watching his dreadful team, why has he not ordered a coaching change? Would that make a difference? Short term, probably. Coaching changes usually do. It might even be the solution to what ails the Senators. Who knows?


One thing is certain ? this current setup is embarrassing the city.


Here?s a thought: Maybe Melnyk figures since the team isn?t going to make the playoffs, why not let it plunge and get the best draft position possible?
