The Nationals have agreed to a one-year deal with utilityman Jerry Hairston Jr., the team announced Wednesday. Hairston Jr. could make up to $3 million with incentives, according to FOXSports.com.Hairston Jr., who has played for six different teams over the course of his 13-year career, spent the 2010 season with the Padres.
He hit .244 with 10 homers and 50 RBI in 119 games for San Diego last year, getting significant playing time at shortstop, second base and in the outfield.
