MLB Hot Stove: Vladimir Guerrero Can't Still Be Out There, Can He?

MLB Hot Stove: Vladimir Guerrero is virtually a lock to be a Hall of Famer whenever he retires.  He just enjoyed another spectacular season at the plate, batting .300 with 29 homers and 115 RBI for a Texas Rangers team that made the World Series.

So why doesn't he have a job yet for 2011?  He's one of the few top free agents who still doesn't.  Well, at this point in his career, he's not capable of being an everyday outfielder, so that essentially rules out any National League club.  And as for American League clubs, most teams are already set as far as their DH position goes.  He also has been standing firm on a desire for a multi-year deal, but that's probably not going to happen at this point.

His best remaining options appear to be in Baltimore, even though the Orioles have publicly denied interest, or returning to one of his former teams, either the Angels (who just picked up a huge financial burden in Vernon Wells) or the Rangers (who spent big on Adrian Beltre, and are planning on using Michael Young as their DH).
