
Two North Korean soccer players were suspended from playing in the Women's World Cup on Wednesday after testing positive for doping, according SPIEGEL.
The team declined a second test after starting defenders Song Jong Sun and Jong Pok Sim failed a urine test. This has been seen as a tacit admission to steroid use.
Now the entire team will be subjected to additional screening.
The North Korean coach blamed its 2-0 loss to the U.S. last week on half his team supposedly getting struck by lightning.
