UFC 135 Preview: Rampage Jackson Says He "Ain't Scared" of Jon Jones

The growing animosity between Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones continues to build on a regular basis.

The verbal jabs that took place at a pre-UFC 135 press conference last week was just a preview of what's in store when they meet for the light heavyweight crown in September.

In a recent interview on "The Mike and Scott Show," courtesy of FightLine.com, "Rampage" continued to stir the proverbial pot with his trash talk. This time, however, it was directed at the 24-year-old personally.

"You real cocky and you're going to get put in your place," Jackson said of his opponent.

The 33-year-old Jackson appeared to be the more humorous and talkative fighter during the press conference, but that seemed to be a facade to try and get inside of Jones' head.

The former 205-pound champion, who has been criticized for his lack of passion and desire in the past, appears to be motivated and determined to dethrone the young champion.

Jackson went as far as to say that he will test Jones' chin, which he believes is his potential weakness.

"I know your weakness, though. That thing that got that hair on it right there, that chin. That's your weakness, homie," he said.

"And guess what? I'm going to tell you, I ain't scared of you," he added.

Since relinquishing the title from former champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 128, Jones' confidence is at an all-time high.

However, his recent comments have often been mistaken for arrogance, which has led to a backlash from some fans.

Despite his superior skills and fast rise to success, some fans and critics have turned to Jones' inexperience that could cause him to lose the title against a top-caliber fighter like Jackson.

But Jackson said his experience will play a factor in the title bout.

"I done fought people your height, your Muay Thai, your wrestling, I done fought people with better wrestling, I fought Olympic caliber wrestlers," he said.

"You good, homie, but you ain't the best."

Jones has yet to respond to Jackson's comments, but the war of words has already begun to sway fans' stance on the outcome, and add a lot of intrigue to the bout itself.
