NHL Draft Order 2011: Toronto Maple Leafs' Brian Burke Looking to Trade Picks

We're just two days away the opening round of the 2011 NHL Draft. While the draft order is set, many trades are expected to occur.

One such rumored trade involves Brian Burke and the Toronto Maple Leafs. According to The Toronto Star, Burke has a few options floating in terms of trading draft picks. It sounds like Burke is looking to trade for current players, to boost the Maple Leafs.

He didn't give any hints as to which teams are in the running, but according to the Toronto Sun, Burke said either of his first round picks (25th and 30th) are available to trade up.

The Leafs' targets are a primary center, bottom six forwards, as well as help on defense.

It sounds like this could be a last minute trade, come Friday. Teams that have been rumored to want to trade up include the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals.

Perhaps those are two of the teams in the running? We'll have to wait and see; Burke often has a few surprises up his sleeve.
