Devils Don?t Want To Feel Disappointment By Missing Playoffs

from Tom Gulitti of The Record, They?re close enough to the seventh-place Rangers and eighth-place Buffalo that if they don?t make the playoffs, it will be a disappointment.

The Devils are eight points back of the Rangers with two games in hand, and six points back of Buffalo with one game in hand. They have one game left against each of those teams ? March 26 in Buffalo and April 9 at Madison Square Garden.

?You have to be disappointed if you don?t make the playoffs,? Brodeur said. ?The first goal of the regular season is to get into the playoffs. I know that we came from a long ways to be in that position and definitely now we?re getting closer and closer. Hopefully the next two weeks will give us a good idea of where we?re going to stand in the last weeks to come. Definitely a lot closer we get, the disappointment level will kick in.?
