An Old Name Returns To Dallas

from Candace Carlisle of the Dallas Business Journal, The Dallas Stars have hired Jim Lites back to helm the franchise.

The Stars hired Lites after a bankruptcy court in Delaware approved the sale of the team on Friday to Tom Gaglardi?.

?When the ownership is in disarray, when fans don?t see a guy ultimately responsible for the next decisions that have to be made, the stability of the franchise struggles,? Lites said. ?Any kind of perception that we are not rock solid will be removed (with Gaglardi), and that?s really the first step.?

Beyond that first step, Lites said Gaglardi will have no problem stepping up as the visible owner of the Stars franchise. Gaglardi has had a passion for hockey his entire life, Lites said.
