The champ ain't gonna lose.
Despite the surge of C.M. Punk over the last couple of months, he isn’t going to beat Alberto Del Rio and take the world championship belt at this weekend’s Survivor Series.
CM Punk is currently the hottest ticket in the WWE and the bandwagon is overflowing. Sure, he sells for Vince McMahon and winning the belt would infuse a ton of money into his pockets, but don’t you think that will limit the future storylines for this wrestler that is still relatively new to WWE stardom?
Del Rio is a champion that is still learning the ropes of being a superstar. His promos and interview in front of a camera leave a lot to be desired, and he doesn’t have a ton of charisma. All of this makes you think he isn’t going to win.

Yet when you consider the match from a pure wrestling perspective, Del Rio is the clear-cut better man. He is a natural in the ring and has the sort of strength and size that any WWE champion should posses.
At the end of the day we all know CM Punk is going to have a lot more staying power in the WWE than Del Rio. They need to give him a few tough luck losses to keep the intrigue for a potential epic match down the line in WrestleMania.
Punk’s time will come as champion, but for now I’m siding with the better physical talent.
Del Rio wins in an epic match that will be the highlight of the Survivor Series.
