Will Tiger Woods Stay Atop the Chevron Challenge?

It's been a long time since Tiger Woods has been at the top of his game.

For many of us, it's almost difficult to remember what it was like when Woods completely dominated the competition.

After two days, Woods sits atop the charts at the Chevron Challenge.

At -8, he is three strokes ahead of Matt Kuchar in second place.

Woods actually improved off of his day one showing where he shot 69, with a day two performance shooting 67.

Woods commented on his performance after two days.

"I want the lead after four days. Two days is nice, but four days is even better. I know I'm playing better, and it's nice to see my position on the leaderboard equating to it."

He is winless in his last 26 starts. It has been a really rough road for Woods over the past two years.

Many have started to count him out, but finally it appears that he is starting to get back into the swing of things.

However, we have seen signs of life from Woods before.

In fact, during last year's Chevron Challenge, he nearly pulled off a victory before falling to Graeme McDowell.

This time it feels different. Woods was still physically lacking a year ago when he had the lead. This time around it just has a different vibe.

Even if Woods doesn't hold onto the victory, things have been looking up recently.

It should be exciting to see how he performs next year.
