Tim Tebow Is the Future for Denver Broncos: When Will Haters Eat Their Words?

Ok, so Tim Tebow has played one game as the starting QB for Denver, but by his performance, he has just put himself in the same position as Sam Bradford or Colt McCoy did in their first game: The Denver Broncos now know that they have a young QB with the potential to be their future franchise QB.

 

Running the Offense

We all knew that Tebow had leadership skills and the will to do anything to win the game, but could he run a pro-style offense?

Well, from the comments of his teammates and his HC, Tebow did great. He took command, didn't get flustered, called the right calls and led his team.

There was no "deer in the headlights." Instead, Tebow will have defenses wondering how they can contain his dual-threat possibility.

 

Win the Games

I would even say that Tebow showed that he could win games for the Broncos because, throwing or running, he has that big-play ability—he dares when others don't.

And if the perfect pass in the end zone to Lance Ball hadn't been dropped, who knows... 

 

Passing the Ball

After this game, you just can't say that Tebow can't throw the ball. His throwing motion is still Tebowish, but his accuracy, his ability to get the ball out of his hands quickly, the power and his ability to make big plays with his arm are unquestionable.

He didn't throw the ball a lot, but that was because of hesitant play-calling. Now, they know they can let him loose.

And Tebow didn't throw any INTs.

 

Running the Ball

The 40-yard TD run was a pure signature run by Tebow.

But the great thing was that it should have been a RB draw. Tebow just showed us what he does better than Orton—he can improvise and he has the legs to make the most out of nothing.

The play-calling wasn't built around Tebow running the ball, but when he saw the opportunity, he took it.

 

Conclusion

To the doubters I will say: You can start believing.

Tebow has shown that he can get the job done—and then some. He still needs a playbook drawn up around his strengths; he isn't the prototype QB like Bradford, but he is a winner and has showed us that he can get the job done.

To the "Haters" I will say: I'm expecting that a some unnamed commentators and featured columnists will come out and eat their own words about how Tebow will never be an NFL QB; Tebow was called a bust before he ever took a snap in the NFL.

I think that with his performance he has earned some respect and at least the right to be the starting QB for the remainder of the season.

PS: To Mac W. who commented on my previous article on Tebow. I know that Tebow made that religious tweet before the game. I didn't think he made any religious comments at the press conference, but I will keep my eye on it.

Tebow can still lose me if goes all religious.
