Alex Rodriguez and Cameron Diaz are currently enjoying a getaway in sunny Mexico right now, which has led many to speculate that their downplayed relationship might be getting serious after all.
For those of us who follow who each athlete is dating as closely as we follow their statistics, this is a big deal. After all, it means we can officially count Cameron Diaz among the star-studded cast of New York Yankee WAGs.

For starters, Derek Jeter is dating Minka Kelly, who is perhaps better known as Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive. She's legit. Also hot.
Nick Swisher is married to TV actress Joanna Garcia, who is a true beauty from every which angle.
And then you have A-Rod, now romantically tangled with Cameron Diaz after previously tackling Madonna and Kate Hudson, among others.
