NFL Playoff Picture: What Does Seattle Need To Do?

Seattle is in an interesting position. They could lose this week, drop to 6-9 and still make the playoffs.

This week, the Seahawks travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers, who are also fighting for a playoff berth.

Basically the chances of Seattle rest completely on a week 17 matchup with the St. Louis Rams. With a win in that game, both teams would likely be 7-9, but the Seahawks would have the better division record. The wild card in this equation is San Francisco. If the 49ers win out and both the Rams and Seahawks drop at least one game, then the 49ers would sneak past the Seahawks.

Basically, the Seahawks need to concentrate on getting a win over the Rams in week 17.
