The Super Bowl madness is already upon us.
Oreo, Mercedes Benz, Coca-Cola, and Best Buy are the four latest advertisers to secure a spot during the commercial breaks of the 2013 game.
Even though Mercedes opted out of last year's games, it makes sense that the car company is putting its horse(-powered engines) back in the race. The Super Bowl is being held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, after all.
There are now 11 brands that have publicly announced buying an estimated $3.7 to $3.8 million, 30-second slot, but CBS says that the pricey ad-space is already 90 percent full. Pricing often varies based on when the ad is bought, the company's relationship with the network, and how many spaces will be aired.
Here's who has made it official:
- Anheuser-Busch InBev
- PepsiCo.'s Pepsi
- PepsiCo.'s Frito-Lay, Doritos
- Cars.com
- GoDaddy.com
- Audi
- Hyundai/Kia
- Coca-Cola
- Best Buy
- Oreo
- Mercedes Benz
The winner of Frito-Lay's annual "Crash the Super Bowl" competition — in which the ad is crowdsourced via fans — will get to work with director Michael Bay on his next installment of the Transformers series.
