De'Anthony Thomas was a breakout performer for Oregon in 2011 and was a major contributor to the Ducks' success en route to a Rose Bowl win. Thomas will get a chance to shine even brighter in 2012 after LaMichael James opted to forego his senior season and enter the NFL Draft.
Oregon got looks at other promising players from the class of '11 such as Colt Lyerla, Ifo Ekpre-Olomu and Tra Carson. High-profile recruits Tacoi Sumler and Devon Blackmon red-shirted last season so expect them to be fully inserted into Chip Kelly's high-speed offense as well in 2012.
The class of 2012 is not yet complete. So far Oregon has received 21 commits, three of which are in ESPNU's top 150 high school players. Many will red-shirt next season but others will make an instant impact and star for the Ducks in Eugene.
