Manny Pacquiao and Sugar Shane Mosley Take Centerstage Tonight
Not long after the ponies at Churchill Downs retire for the evening, one of them having been crowned with the ring of roses at the 137th Kentucky Derby, the eyes of the sports world will turn their attention back to actual human beings.
Manny Pacquio, the WBO Welterweight World Champion, will take on Sugar Shane Mosley tonight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Pacman is an 8-1 favorite to defeat the seven-years-old Mosley, but the experts out there have their own take expectations about the showdown.
ESPN.com's Dan Rafeal, recently wrote this about Mosley:
Throughout his standout career, former three-division champion Shane Mosley has been known for his speed and power. As lightweight champion, he made eight defenses and won each by knockout. He was also a two-time welterweight champion and unified belts at junior middleweight. Besides the power, Mosley's hand and foot speed were big reasons for his success. But another one of Mosley's great attributes, even though it is rarely mentioned, is his stone chin.
He'll need that chin at it's stone-iest tonight against Pacquiao, who has won 38 of his 57 career fights by knockout.
