2011 NBA Mock Draft, Utah Jazz Select Brandon Knight Out Of Kentucky
The Jazz don't need a starting point guard with Devin Harris on the roster, but Brandon Knight isn't a true point guard. He's not a polished floor general and has a shoot first mentality. At 6'3", Knight would be slightly undersized at shooting guard, but not enough that he couldn't play alongside Harris.
Harris specialty is driving to the basket with his elite speed. Knight is very athletic, but he's a very skilled outside shooter which Harris is not. Knight shot 38 percent from downtown last season while Harris has shot 31 percent for his career.

As Knight matures as a player and as a floor general, he could eventually take over for Harris as the starter.
Even if the Jazz aren't 100 percent sure that Knight can transition to the two, they don't have many other options. Alec Burks is the best pure shooting guard in the draft, but he's not worth selecting at number three.
Kawhi Leonard and Jan Vesely could be options to replace Andrei Kirilenko at small forward, but I doubt they'd want to give up on Gordon Heyward so quickly.
There's a lot of pressure on this franchise after losing Jerry Sloan and Deron Williams in one year. If they don't hit big on their two lottery picks, they could be in trouble.
