2011 NBA Mock Draft: All 30 Picks, Chad Ford Says Enes Kanter to Raptors

2011 NBA Mock Draft Has Chad Ford Thinking Enes Kanter Goes to Raptors

Probably the first foreign prospect off the board, Turkey center Enes Kanter was ruled ineligible to play at Kentucky last season by the NCAA, but he's being looked as potentially the next Andrew Bogut, both in playing style and production at the next level.

A bit undersized for a center at 6-foot-10, 255 pounds, but he makes up for it with his aggressive style of play and intriguing shooting touch.

Chad Ford's Pick: Enes Kanter, C, Turkey

He is tough, can play inside and out, rebounds the basketball and has a higher basketball IQ than most of the kids his age. He's a bit undersized for a center, but his toughness in the paint will be a welcome contrast to Andrea Bargnani's Charmin-soft game.

Good Fit or Bad Fit?

Good fit. Not only is he a legitimate top-three prospect, he also would be a great complement to Andrea Bargnani, who can stretch the floor with 3-pointers galore. An interior presence plus Bargnani equals European Combo Supreme.

My Pick: Enes Kanter, C, Turkey

Enes Kanter doesn't come without risk, given he wasn't able to show anything last season and this is purely on potential, but his potential is so overwhelming according to most of the league that it's hard to pass him up. Especially when he could be a Bogut next to a Bargnani.
