GDT - Game #60: Red Wings host Sharks (7:30)

DET (37-16-6) host SJS (33-21-6) tonight at the Joe, in what could be the proverbial ?measuring stick? for both clubs.  The Wings may be playing their best all-around hockey of the season.  DET have surrendered only 9 goals during their current 5 game winning streak, almost 1 fewer GA/G better than their season average.

For as good as DET have been playing, you could reasonably argue the Sharks have been even better of late.  SJS have won three in a row, and are 12-3 in their past 15. They have allowed two or less goals in 11 of those games, due in part to their outstanding goal-tending.  Antti Niemi is 12-2-1, with a 1.79 GAA in his last 15 appearances and has shutouts in three of his last eight starts.

The Wings are on a bit of a roll, a win tonight, and they?ll be Flying High Again(!).  LGRW.
