Welcome to Week 5 of the College Football Flash. Here, in 10 minutes or less—depending on how quickly you read—we will give our bold predictions for the outcomes of the AP Top 25.
I will pick the winners of each Top 25 game for the upcoming week. Beside the prediction will be a 10-word-or-less reason for my choice.
For the new fans to college football, read it, learn it and impress your friends with your knowledge. For those who have been at it awhile, here is an opportunity to debate me if you think I have it wrong.
WARNING: I'm getting better at this.
Last week, we were right on 19 of the top 20 games. Here is the single game I missed:
I picked Oklahoma to beat Kansas State by three points at home. Actual Score was Kansas State 24, Oklahoma 19. My comment on the pick was "I shouldn't pick against the old guy." So right, yet so wrong.
Totals:
Last week: 19 correct, one wrong
Year to date: 84 correct, 12 wrong
