Early week NFL action forces fantasy owners everywhere to make their decisions a little earlier in the week. If you have these guys on your team, then you should decide to play them.
Not all of these guys are exactly out-on-a-limb plays, although a few are. Still, fantasy owners have a tendency to think a little too much. Don't let it happen with these guys.
Vince Young
I can give myself a little bit of a pat on the back here. From the moment Michael Vick went down, I said that Young would be a good fantasy player. While I did say that, that was largely based on his running ability.
In no way was I expecting him to come out and throw the ball as well as he has. But 658 passing yards and three touchdowns in two games makes him a good play on his arm alone. Seattle is not a particularly strong pass defense, so don't expect that pace to drop this week.
Lynch is trending in the right direction. He's hit over 100 yards in four of his last five games, and had 88 in the other one.
Consider that and consider that the Philadelphia run defense is not particularly strong. This is just a good matchup for another strong week. Lynch is quietly turning himself into one of the game's best backs.
LeSean McCoy
Since we're on the subject of the game's best backs, let's look at the one on the other side of the field. I know that the Seahawks run defense has potential to be strong, but they are not always especially consistent.
McCoy has been consistent this year. He's an absolute scoring machine, and that's what matters in fantasy. Look for him to make another trip to the end zone this week. This is one of the game's best players.
Brent Celek
I have to say a few things here. For one, even though I have three Eagles and one Seahawk, I believe Seattle will win this game. Two, DeSean Jackson would normally go here, but I have no idea what's going on with him.
Celek's numbers have gone up since Vick went down and Young took over. Maybe it's because Young likes TEs more; maybe Vick's arm strength makes the TE more irrelevant for him. Whatever it is, the numbers are there.
