The Minnesota Vikings will release Donovan McNabb today, Adam Schefter reports.
McNabb was benched earlier this year, and rookie QB Christian Ponder has played well in his place.
This move will spark another waiver-wire chess match.
The Texans are without a QB, so they could potentially claim him if no one else does. His hometown Chicago Bears are a possibility too.
But it's too early to tell.
