According to TMZ.com, Kobe Bryant's wife Vanessa has filed for divorce. And this time, she is going to get a lot more than just a $4 million ring. That's because the couple, who first met when Vanessa was just 17, were wed without a prenuptial agreement.
Sources connected with the couple tell TMZ ... Vanessa -- who stuck by Kobe after he was charged with sexually assaulting a Colorado woman in 2003 -- decided to end the marriage because she believes Kobe has been unfaithful ... again...We've learned the couple has NO PRENUP, so 29-year-old Vanessa is entitled to half of the empire Kobe built over the last decade.
Darren Rovell estimates Kobe's net worth at $360 million, and that he has earned $196 million on the court. Rovel also notes that Kevin Garnett ($270M) is the only active player that has earned more.
More importantly, now Michael Jordan can breathe a sigh of relief. Because once this divorce is settled, Kobe will only have 2.5 championship rings.
