NFL Picks Week 11: Elite Teams That Will Fail

With every passing NFL week, we are witness to at least one tremendous upset that leaves fans stunned and gamblers frustrated.

With a number of elite teams in action this upcoming week, we'll take a look at which of these teams have the highest chance of possibly failing and blowing a must-win game.

New York Jets (5-4) at Denver Broncos (4-5)

The New York Jets are coming off of a depressing loss to the New England Patriots where they lost by three touchdowns in front of their home crowd, while the Denver Broncos are riding a two-game winning streak while also being winners of three of their past four games. A seemingly lost season is now becoming of great important to a Broncos team that is beginning to find its identity.

The x-factor of this game will not only be how the Jets handle Denver's atmosphere, but also how they handle Tim Tebow and the college style offense that baffled the Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs into losses. Both teams aren't on the same defensive level as the Jets, but they aren't used to playing against this type of offense and they could be throw for a loop.

The Jets are ranked 15th against the rush in the NFL as they face a Broncos team that has rushed for at least 177 yards in the past four games.

Philadelphia Eagles (3-6) at New York Giants (6-3)

It is becoming tough to gauge this Philadelphia Eagles team. They've been close in just about every game they've lost and beat the possible future AFC East champion Dallas Cowboys by 27 points, yet they're currently on a two-game losing streak where they lost to the likes of Arizona and Chicago.

These two teams have already played with the Giants standing strong in a 13-point victory, but we just don't know which Eagles team we are going to see. Michael Vick is hurt with two broken ribs, but he still has yet to be ruled out for this game and could possibly turn on the jets in time for an Eagles victory.

The Giants are coming off of a tough loss to San Francisco and may still be feeling it, so expect a battle to take place in Philly.

Carolina Panthers (2-7) at Detroit Lions (6-3)

The Detroit Lions are hurting after a monumental loss to the Chicago Bears where they surrendered a season high 37 points while scoring a season low 13 points. They have the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving in two weeks and a matchup against the lowly Carolina Panthers may not be on the minds of this collective unit.

The Lions will be facing a tough Panthers offense that can pass and rush behind Cam Newton and they'll be looking to abuse a Lions rushing attack that is currently ranked 27th in rushing yards given up per game.

Cam Newton is capable of great things and he's athletic enough to shoo away a lethal defensive line. If the Lions don't have their minds on this game, a loss and an upset may very well take place.
