After a narrow victory against Juan Manuel Marquez, Manny Pacquiao's next opponent may be Floyd Mayweather in the mega-fight that we never got to see.
If this fight were to happen, Pac-Man would give Mayweather the first loss of his career.
While Pac-Man looked pretty bad last night against Marquez, he will be much better for his next fight. Pacquiao was experiencing the effects of rust on a boxer, and will do all he can to avoid that happening again.
Knowing that he must focus more on boxing and less on politics and music, Pacquiao is going to train harder and be better prepared for all of his fights.
Including his super-fight against Mayweather.
Pacquiao is one of the hardest workers and best fighters in boxing. He came back from a rusty start and finished his fight with Marquez well enough to secure a victory. He looked very good in the second-half of the fight last night, and that is how he should look for every fight.
If Mayweather challenges Pac-Man we know he will accept. Pacquiao thinks it is his duty to accept all challenges to fight because he is a boxer and that is his job. The reason the fight fell apart last time was because Mayweather was scared and found a clever way to have the collapse look like Manny's fault.
Now that Mayweather is ready to fight, Pac-Man will accept and the two will do battle in Dallas.
Pacquiao is still the better fighter. Plus, Mayweather's style suits him better than Marquez's.
Also, if Manny was not rusty and fought like he did for the second-half throughout the fight, he would have won by unanimous decision or knocked out Marquez.
Mayweather won in unanimous decision as well. However, Pacquiao had to fight a better Marquez who was much quicker than the one Mayweather fought.
Pacquiao is clearly the better fighter and would beat Mayweather in a super-fight.
