NFL Picks Week 10: New York Giants and More Injury-Plagued Teams Doomed to Fail

The New York Giants are going to have their hands full with the San Francisco 49ers as it is, but the injuries they have sustained makes victory impossible to attain.

The Giants have to go on the road against the No. 1 run defense in the entire league, and they have to do it with a banged-up receiving corps and without Ahmad Bradshaw.

Here are the teams doomed to fail because of the injuries they've sustained.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Colts are the worst team in the NFL. They're the only winless team remaining and though completely healthy they would struggle against the Jaguars, coming into this game at less than 100 percent makes victory unattainable for the struggling Colts.

Obviously, Peyton Manning's neck injury crippled their season before it even began, and losing sure-handed outlet Dallas Clark to a leg injury won't bode well for Curtis Painter this week as he takes on the underrated Jaguars' defense.

Cleveland Browns vs St. Louis Rams

The Rams have the worst run defense in the league, allowing over 150 rushing YPG. The Browns would regularly be able to victimize the Rams with Peyton Hillis and the ground game.

But Hillis is down, and to make matters worse, so is Montario Hardesty. Chris Ogbonnaya is their fourth leading rusher, behind Colt McCoy, and for the first time all season long, the Rams' run defense will actually have the advantage.

New York Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers haven't allowed a rushing touchdown this season. Brandon Jacobs is a capable back, but if he thinks he's going to overpower Patrick Willis and the 49ers' stout front seven, he has another thing coming.

They needed Bradshaw's shiftiness and vision even to have hope against the Niners on the ground.

Now it's all on Eli Manning and the passing game and given that Hakeem Nicks is questionable and Mario Manningham was also added to the injury report, their one-dimensional offense just doesn't have the means to succeed this week.
