Kyle Chipchura Sent To Portland

GLENDALE, ARIZONA?- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned forward Kyle Chipchura to the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 6-foot-2, 203 pound Chipchura was signed as an unrestricted free agent on July 19. He appeared in the season opening game at San Jose, skating in 10:39 of ice time. Last season, the Westlock, Alberta native appeared in 40 games with the Anaheim Ducks, collecting two assists.
