BCS Rankings 2011: Ranking the Mascots of Every BCS Top 25 Team

The Louisiana State Tigers currently sit at the top of the BCS rankings, making them the team to beat on the road to a national title.

But the big question is how does the LSU mascot match up with the other Top 25 BCS ranked teams?  Computing the BCS standings is a cakewalk compared to ranking the mascots.  There's a lot of criteria that need to be considered.

For instance, most mascots are either animals (Tigers) or people (Cowboys), but there are those that are neither animal nor people.

Should a mascot be ranked on its looks?  Should the mascot be ranked on its ferociousness?  Should the mascot be ranked by its colors?  Or should the mascot be ranked by how much pain it could inflict on me?

For the purposes of these rankings, I tend to lean towards the following:

  • How frightened would I be if I came face to face with this?
  • If I did come face to face with this, how bad could it hurt me?
  • Before it hurt me, could I run away from it?
  • And last but not least, how cool is it?

Alright, let's take a look at the BCS mascot Top 25.
