It's finally happening; Yushin Okami is getting his title shot.
He was promised a shot at the UFC Middleweight Championship after defeating Nate Marquardt at UFC 122, but the UFC elected to give Vitor Belfort a shot first.
At UFC 134, Okami will get his long-awaited crack at Anderson Silva and a chance to cement his place in MMA history by capturing a UFC title.
Many fans believe that Okami has a good chance in this fight, given his strong background in wrestling; Okami's training partner, Chael Sonnen, fought Silva almost a year ago and was almost able to win the fight using his grappling skills.
If Okami brings the fight to Silva and keeps pressure on him at all-times, he stands a chance of ending Silva's title reign and becoming the new UFC middleweight champion.
In the event that Okami does dethrone the champ, it's curious to think about what's next for him after that.
In all probability, his first title defense would be against either Brian Stann or Chael Sonnen.
Sonnen and Stann are scheduled to fight at UFC 136, in a fight intended to determine the middleweight division's No. 1 contender.
Both would be interesting fights for Okami.
A bout with Stann would be a classic wrestler vs. striker matchup and a fight with Sonnen would be a rematch, Sonnen having won their first fight at UFC 104.
However, anything can happen in the UFC and if neither Sonnen nor Stann performs impressively, the title shot could be passed along to someone else.
Chris Leben and Mark Munoz are set to headline UFC 138 and I wouldn't rule either of them out as Okami's next opponent, especially if one of them wins the fight in dominant fashion.

Atlanta police have issued an arrest warrant for former NBA player Javaris Crittenton and plan to charge him with murder for the shooting of a 23-year-old woman.
Crittenton was suspended from the NBA in 2010 after reportedly pulling a gun (or throwing a gun at) Washington Wizards teammate Gilbert Arenas during a locker room dispute.
Both players were banned for the remainder of the season and pled guilty to misdemeanor gun charges. Crittenton never returned to the NBA.
Crittenton is accused of firing at three people from the back of an SUV on August 19. Jullian Jones, a mother of four, was not believed to be the intended target, but she was stuck in the hip by a bullet and died during surgery.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Crittenton may have been trying to shoot a man he believed had robbed him of jewelry in an earlier incident.
The former Georgia Tech star is believed to be in Los Angeles and police say they hope he will turn himself in.

There is a football match this weekend that everyone should be watching. A club from north London will be facing their opponents from Manchester, and it will most likely be the best match of the weekend. That game, of course, is Manchester City versus Tottenham.
Here are five things to keep in mind while watching.

We have no special insight here, but we can't help but speculate...
Earlier this season, New York Yankee superstar shortstop Derek Jeter was hitting like, well, an old man. And that's not surprising, given that, in pro-baseball terms, he is an old man (37).
But recently, Derek Jeter has suddenly been hitting the ball like a young buck again.
Yesterday, for example, he had three hits in the Yankees' record-setting slugfest. A few weeks ago, he had five hits in a game.
On the back of this slugging, Derek's average has climbed from old-man-dismal to ~.300. He is quieting talk that the Yankees were idiots to re-sign him last summer because he's ancient. And he's again looking like the amazing proto-Yankee captain who has led the Yankees to umpteen World Championships.
And for Yankee fans, that's AWESOME. You, go, Derek!
But. still, inquiring fans have been wondering why Derek has suddenly started hitting so well.
And we can't be the only ones who wonder whether it might have something to do with today's news—that Derek Jeter and his latest beautiful girlfriend, Minka Kelly, are splitting up.
Is the prospect of getting back out there suddenly making Derek feel like a young man again?
We feel like cads for even wondering it. But we can't be the only ones.
